Julianne Nicholson (born 1 July 1971) is an American actor best known for appearing in films and TV shows. Her most renowned projects are Boardwalk Empire Masters of Sex and Law & Order: Criminal Intent in which she played Detective Megan Wheeler. Gayle's acting career began as Baby June when she appeared in Gypsy the Musical, an off-Broadway production starring Patti LuPone. The role was reprised shortly after the show moved from Off-Broadway to Broadway. Gayle continued to play the role of co-star as a co-star in Oohrah off Broadway. The Academy award-winning Jonathan Demme directed the Atlantic Theatre Company's Family Week and MCC Theatre's Family Week. She appeared in The Broadway show in 2007 of Dr. Seuss How the Grinch Got Christmas! Musical. Gayle will be appearing alongside Robin Wright later this year in THE Congres. This was the premiere in the world of the film at the Cannes Film Festival.
